Project Details

Todbrook reservoir underwent a “flood condition” assessment under reservoir legislation which highlighted the need to repoint/seal all the insitu concrete slabs on the main spillway and raise the height of the North side spillway wall to include a wave definition profile.

Pouring over 60m3 of pumped C45 concrete at an incline of 1 in 2 to raise the wave wall over 100 linear metres.

A synopsis of the project is detailed below:

·               Install slope/fall protection arrangements,

·               Install safe scaffold access to the wave wall at a typical gradient of 1 in 2 to both sides.

·               Rake out and re-seal with 2 pack sealant to over 1500 linear metres of spillway panel joints.

·               Design and fix shutter arrangements and pour schedules to facilitate a complex hit and miss pouring scheme

.        Pouring over 60m3 of pumped C45 concrete at an incline of 1 in 2 to raise the wave wall over 100 linear metres.
