Project Details

 

Project Scope
 
The works consisted of a number of erosion protection & sea defence works a stretch of coastline at Harrington near Workington.
 
APB Group Ltd provided specialist concrete repair works to a number of sea wall & buttress sites.
 
The works consisted of saw cutting & hydro-demolition of the failed concrete surfaces, installation of stainless steel dowels & mesh and the reinstatement of the concrete using special marine approved sprayed concrete material.
 

The works were carried out during low tides allowing for 2 x 6 hour working windows per 24 hour working period; during which time all resources had to be mobilised & demobilised to & from site and the concrete repairs gunite sprayed & cured
